Position Summary:

• This position is responsible for unloading and processing all bulk and bagged ingredients for mill feed production.  Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements

•    Must be willing to obtain a fork lift certification.  Specialized equipment training (tractor and lawn mower).  Must be able to achieve and maintain a respirator certification: TM’s must remain clean shaven during all scheduled work hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload incoming ingredients in bags, bulk trucks.  These job duties occasionally require simple math to be performed accurately. (45%)
• Keep assigned housekeeping areas clean, disinfected and pressure washed as needed. (15%)
• Operate truck scales, and ticketing system. (15%)
• Obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients including pit swabs, ingredient moisture content, bushel weight, observe ingredients with ultraviolet light.  (15%)

Other duties, responsibilities, and activities

• These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as Operate Tyson Mill Control System (TMCS) Designate route, and  grind, Follow all Blow Down Permits. (10%)

Biosecurity Requirements:

• Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Physical:  Must use safe lifting techniques.  Must regularly lift up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift up to 120 pounds with the aide of a buddy. Will occasionally be required to ascend/descend a caged ladder 197 feet high.   Repetitive bending, reaching and squatting to retrieve samples. Repetitive climbing of a 15 foot ladder to collect samples.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.  Must have good communication skills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.
• Tools and Equipment: Operate Truck scales

• Environment:  Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.  Heavy exposure to corn and soy dust.
• Personal Protective Equipment Required:  Safety glasses, Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required.  Hearing protection will be used as needed.   NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed.  Hard Hats, Reflective vests and Safety Shoes will be worn as needed. 
• Chemicals Commonly Used:  Herbicides, Pesiticides, and Disinfectants.
• Safety: TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard

 Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment.  TM is expected to identify, address and mitigate safety related risks
