Position: Community in Schools Site Coordinator
Job Summary: The Community in Schools (CIS) Site Coordinator is responsible for executing the CIS School Support Plan and meeting the needs of the student population, aligning with the priorities of school leadership. The site coordinator works inside the school with principals, teachers, and other student support personnel to forge community partnerships that bring resources into the school to help remove barriers to learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with preferred specialization in leadership, social work, counseling, communications, or related field.
- Master’s degree (preferred)
- Competent with Microsoft products and Internet search engines
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for executing the CIS School Support Plan and meeting the needs of the student population, aligning with the priorities of school leadership.
-Develop and implement individualized students’ Needs Assessment Plans and Support Plans, ensuring its alignment with the county and school’s strategic plan goals.
-Works inside the school with principals, teachers and other student support personnel to forge community partnerships that bring resources into the school to help remove barriers to learning.
-Work closely with the School Support Teams and school leadership to identify at-risk students in need of support.
-Coordinate partners and service providers.
-Coordinate supports to impact school-wide climate and culture.
-Case manage 10% of the student population, tracking progress of these students and providing individualized support when needed.
-Monitor, adjust and report on supports in the school.
-Be able to utilize the Communities In Schools Data management system (CISDM) to capture data and ensure fidelity to the CIS Model.
-Attend and participate in all mandatory CIS trainings, meetings, and events.
-Complete all other job duties as assigned by the superintendent, CIS state contact, and CIS county contact.
Employment Term: 200 days
Salary Marion County Teacher Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education level
