TITLE: 1st and 3rd Shift Welder

Overview:
This position is responsible for chassis preparation, prepping and centering of floors, installation of front walls, and cab seal. The welder will also assist with flipping floors and walls, provide training to employees, and collaborate with other departmental staff while adhering to production schedules and maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves welding using MIG and TIG processes, with a focus on aluminum materials. The welder will play a critical role in ensuring structural integrity and precision in all welds. Regular interaction with internal and external customers, including providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and ensuring timely project completion, is required. As an active part of the Life Line Emergency Vehicle Team, the welder contributes to the delivery of top-tier emergency vehicles built with safety and reliability in mind.
Responsibilities:
- Must have a mechanical background, including experience with power and/or air tools.
- Must have the ability to operate or learn to operate shear, notcher, saws, drills, and presses.
- Must have hands-on experience with welding processes.
- Must be able to problem-solve and make decisions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- Inspect finished products during manufacturing.
- Apply quality assurance techniques.
- Meet or exceed cost reduction goals.
- Understand manufacturing methods and techniques.
- Meet deadlines consistently.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have strong mathematical skills.
- Must have good communication skills.
Working Hours:
1st Shift:
Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30PM Flexibility required for occasional early or late shifts
3rd Shift:
Monday – Thursday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Flexibility required for occasional early or late shifts. Training shifts are on 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM).

Experience:
- Previous welding experience is required.
- Knowledge of Life Line products is a plus.
Education:
- High school diploma
- Technical training in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Use of senses such as sight, touch, hearing, and smell is required.

Work Environment:
- Primarily indoor work with occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, cold, heat, and airborne particles.
