Pharmacist PRN

Summary:  

• Reviews, prepares and dispenses medications in compliance with hospital policies/procedures and applicable regulations and standards.
• Coordinates drug storage and drug preparation areas within the Pharmacy Department.
• Shares the duties as delegated by the Director of Pharmacy pertaining to the purchasing, receipt, and storage and inventory control of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Maintains drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness.
• Interacts with physicians and other professional staff to coordinate patient care.
• Demonstrates competency and knowledge in appropriate dosing of the adult patient.  Appropriately modifies dosages based on age, weight, and physiological status.

Qualifications:  

• NM Pharmacy licensure; Current BLS Certification or obtain per policy upon hire; maintain such certification
• Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school
• 2 years experience preferred
