Job Summary:

• The Territory Service Specialist obtains orders for services and onboards newly generated 

accounts in a predetermined geographic territory. Primary focus being outpatient clinics who 

see a high volume of infections. Key responsibilities include educating, servicing, and training

existing customers on company offerings. Identifies new business opportunities by developing

existing relationships and cold calling prospective accounts. Assists the Territory Sales 

Director in assigned territory as needed. Duties customarily and regularly involve extensive 

travel and activities away from the Company’s physical place of business.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

• Travels throughout assigned territory under direction of the VP of Sales to call on current 

customers and to solicit new and profitable business

• Responsible for assisting in growth of new and current business

• Schedule and execute in-service training at customer sites to facilitate business growth

• Train clinic staff in proper processing of requisitions and sample collection procedure

• Ensure all customers are adequately always stocked with appropriate supplies

• Plan and execute visits to existing accounts in the territory on a regular basis

• Identify, communicate, and help resolve any service issues, billing issues or customer 

complaints

• Schedule and/or arrange UPS/FedEx/Courier pick-upsfrom offices

• Depending on location travel required up to 50%

Qualifications:

• Education –

▪ Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field of study; or an equivalent level of

education and experience

• Competencies/Skills –

▪ Effective use of sales and business development tactics

▪ Able to independently research, organize, multitask, and prioritize work

▪ Exceptional verbal/ written communication skills

• Experience –

▪ 1+ years documented successful sales numbers, B2B, or medical sales

▪ Prior sales or customer service functions

• Certifications/Licenses –

▪ N/A

Mental/Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/ or fingers. Must have the 

ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to 

complete the essential functions of the position. Light physical effort requires handling average 

weight objects up to 10 lbs. and some standing and walking. Learning, thinking, concentration, and 

the ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy times. Ability to drive reasonable distance 

and sit in a vehicle for extended periods of time. Must be able to travel with overnight stays. Must be 

able to pay close attention to detail and able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent 

customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers, and 

exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations’ situations. Must have the 

ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary. Must be proactive in

finding solutions. Work location is remote.
