Hybrid Director of Finance bei Heinzerling Community

About the Role:
The Heinzerling Community is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Director of Finance to lead and oversee all financial operations of our organization. This role ensures financial integrity, compliance with regulations, and strategic financial planning to support our mission of serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions of the organization and supervise accounting staff. Maintain strong internal controls over financial processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, Medicaid, ERISA, IRS and other regulatory requirements.  
• Prepare internal financial statements and analyze operational results.  Provide financial guidance to executive leadership on operational results and recommendations.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Trustees.  Maintain investments based on investment policies and market conditions.
• Lead the budgeting process and analyze Medicaid reimbursements based on costs.
• Maintain strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting regulations as well as Medicaid reimbursement processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required); CPA in Ohio (required)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit regulations, Medicaid/third-party payers
• Leadership experience with proven ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences
• Proficiency in Excel, accounting software, and data analysis
