The Floral Manager is a creative and organized leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the floral department, from design and sales to inventory management and customer service. This role requires a passion for floral design, strong management skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of floral design principles, retail sales techniques, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of floral design, ensuring high-quality arrangements that meet customer needs.
• Manage and train floral designers, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales and enhance the visual appeal of the floral department.
• Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining accurate stock levels, utilizing inventory management best practices.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Develop and maintain strong product knowledge, including understanding of seasonal flowers and care techniques.
• Implement and maintain cleanliness standards within the design studio and retail space.
• Utilize sales and selling techniques to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Coordinate floral arrangements for special events and weddings, demonstrating strong planning and organizational skills.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure efficient operations and meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of floral design principles and techniques.
• Working knowledge of retail sales and customer service best practices.
• General knowledge of inventory management and merchandising.
• Ability to lift and move floral arrangements and supplies, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in the English language.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of floral designers.
• Experience in a retail environment, demonstrating retail sales experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated creativity and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with coordinating floral arrangements for weddings and special events.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Previous experience in a design studio environment.
• A degree or certification in floral design.
