Hybrid Quality Assurance Inspector bei Texas Hydraulics

Job Summary: Performs first piece, in-process inspection, final inspection, and LPAs (layered process audit) throughout the operations process to monitor quality and standard work follow up. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and follow written instructions and prints.
• Verify gauges and measuring tools for accuracy.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height stands, thread gauges and other measuring tools to verify part conformity to print.
• Conduct first piece and final inspection and record the data on the inspection sheet.
• Perform random in-process inspections and 100% inspection as needed.
• Utilize a crane to lift products weighing over 50 pounds.
• Support the Company’s quality management program. 
• Maintain the calibration schedule and verify tools are up to date with calibration.
• Print and update inspections sheets as needed, based on the dimensions from prints and revision levels. 
• Record evaluations into the system from the Service Department. 
• Execute LPAs, as directed by Quality Supervisor.
• Execute Internal Auditing to the ISO9001 Standards, as directed by Quality Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized quality staging area and office.
• Attend DMM (Daily Management Meeting) in lieu of Quality Supervisor, when needed.
• Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Education, Skills, and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of QA experience in a manufacturing environment. 
• Ability to read and understand prints.
• Proficient with the use of measuring tools (Such as but not limited to micrometers, calipers, height stands, thread gauges) to inspect parts.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite of products.
• Familiarity with ERP system (Oracle preferred).
• Good verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Must be detail oriented. 

Physical Requirement:

• Visual acuity for detailed work.
• Regularly required to stand, bend, twist, use hands and fingers. 
• Regularly required to lift products which weigh up to 35 pounds and move materials using a pallet jack or forklift.

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work within a no air conditioning shop environment. 
• The noise level in the work environment is normal for manufacturing.
• Safety shoes and safety glasses are required.
