Join our team as a Respiratory Therapist within our Respiratory Therapy department at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego. The Respiratory Therapist, in collaboration with other caregivers:
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory care.
- Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unit.
- Responds to critical situations.
- Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties.
- Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.
Required:
- Current California RCP license
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Enjoys working with the public
- Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English
- Technically competent in the department skills inventory
- Computer literate
Preferred:
- Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care
- Prefer one or more years acute care experience
- NICU experience
