Job Description:The Operations Manager -Therapy (“MO-Therapy”) plays a critical role, under the direction of the Director of Therapy, in leading, cultivating and growing the Therapy business line to become the employer, provider, and partner of choice within their assigned territory. The Manager of Operations will accomplish this by prioritizing:
- People Development: Building and leading a team of Client Service Managers (“CSMs”). At MGA CSM’s are Non-Clinical Case Managers who are each assigned a case load. The Manager of Operation’s primary task is sourcing, hiring, coaching, teaching, training, & development of a local market CSM teams that will consistently optimize the key measurable operating and financial results/outcomes .
- Cross Functional Collaboration & Partnerships: Building strong collaborative relationships & highly integrated processes with their peers in the functions of Business Development, Recruitment and Clinical Supervision. These partnerships are crucial because the teams work as a cohesive unit to identify and hire qualified clinicians as well monitor all patient safety & quality of care related outcome measures.
- Represent MGA within the community: The Manager of Operations will pro-actively build and maintain key relationships in the community with local discharge planners, social workers, outpatient clinics, medical practices, rehab centers and other referral sources that count on MGA to provide the critical home health therapy services we offer.
- Serve our patients & families: The Manager of Operations will coordinate all patient onboarding activities, in collaboration with their Clinical Partners and the referral source, to set clear expectations and build relationships based on mutual trust and respect. MO-Therapy will work with the Central Intake team to validate coverage and initiate authorization process to ensure a best-in-class onboarding experience.
- Accountability for Delivering Measurable Results: The Manager of Operations must align their definition of quality by service line with payer sources and regulatory agencies. The Manager of Operations will own the reporting, operating rhythm & the accountability around performance metrics.
Duties and Responsibilities
- P&L responsibility for the Therapy service Line within assigned territory
- Plays key role in Strategic Planning within the market to ensures MGA goals and objectives are achieved in assigned sites.
- Create a high-performance, action-oriented team by setting clear expectations with people and monitor processes and programs to achieve expected outcomes with accountability systems in place
- Facilitates client understanding of connections between MGA strategic priorities and client needs and expectations.
- Share client feedback and lessons learned regarding client relations with direct reports.
- Collaborates with Director of Therapy, Administrator & DOCS, as well as peers, regional team members and MGA colleagues at all levels and from all areas/disciplines to implement and monitor business process and clinical quality improvement initiatives across assigned sites.
- Tracks, monitors, and communicates key planning, budgeting and forecasting activities. Assists and reviews the work of others on tasks associated with these activities.
- Reviews and analyzes budget and financial reports and takes corrective action as needed. Provides insight “behind the numbers”. Solves planning, budgeting and forecasting problems/issues related to assigned sites.
- Proactively identifies and communicates potential issues and risks, and takes action to drive continuous improvement in these areas.
- Supports and executes the mission, ethics, and goals of the company effectively.
- Represents themselves in a positive and professional manner in the company and community.
- Adheres to dress code with a clean and neat professional appearance.
- Reports on time and as scheduled in order to complete work within designated time.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures outlined in Employee Handbook, Employee Agreement, or communicated from executive team.
- 3+ years in operations/project management position
- Strong Logistics Skills
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing major projects/initiatives.
- Delegates responsibilities effectively
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
