Joby Aviation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Recruiter to join our People Team at our New York City location. This role will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for hourly, salaried and other support roles critical to our operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, collaborating closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, attract top talent, and ensure a smooth, data-driven recruitment process. This role requires an understanding of technical positions, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for finding top talent.
This is a full time, on-site role. Remote and hybrid remote work is not available for this position.
Responsibilities:- Partner with hiring managers to assess team needs and build targeted talent pipelines
- Create and post compelling, accurate technical job descriptions aligned with team needs
- Source and screen candidates for a wide variety of roles across engineering, operations, and manufacturing functions
- Conduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessments
- Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts and offer negotiations
- Provide regular reports on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline activity, and hiring trends
- Provide support for hiring and industry events
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field OR a high school diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant work experience or some combination thereof
- Minimum of 7 years of recruiting experience
- Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical job requirements
- Experience with applicant tracking systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Experience with iCIMS ATS system
- Experience with candidate reationship management tools
- Background in aviation, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, high-tech or start-up industries
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $118,000 - $157,300/year. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
