The City of Lethbridge, Parks Department, Amenities section is accepting applications for one (1) seasonal-term positions of Utility Worker I – Amenity Services.
TERM: Approximately 3 months – Starting late August 2025
This position may require shift and weekend work
WAGE: $31.56 per hour
DUTIES: Under the direction of the Amenity Services Coordinator, Lead hand or Tech worker, the successful candidate will be involved in, and will assist with, all aspects of amenity maintenance duties, including installation, maintenance and repair of all types of Parks amenities, such as playgrounds, benches, tables, fences, backstops, bleachers, signs, gates and bollards. The successful candidate will also assist with fountain and aerator installations and removals, concrete pouring, painting and any other amenity maintenance. Other assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will be required to deal tactfully and diplomatically with the public and will be required to work under limited direct supervision. Candidates must have the physical strength and stamina to perform strenuous manual labour for extended periods of time under varying weather conditions. The ability to successfully communicate within a team setting and carry out duties based on verbal and written instructions is essential. Previous amenities/carpentry experience will be an asset.
Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted Class 5 Operator’s license.
