DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, reconcile and send out billing for group sales events for payment.
  • Receive payments and post amounts paid to customer accounts.
  • Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts by mail, telephone, or personal visits to solicit payment.
  • Persuade customers to pay amounts due on credit accounts, damage claims, or non-payable checks, or to return merchandise.
  • Confer with customers by telephone or in person to determine reasons for overdue payments and to review the terms of sales, service, or credit contracts.
  • Record information about financial status of customers and status of collection efforts.
  • Sort and file correspondence and perform miscellaneous clerical duties, such as answering correspondence and writing reports.
  • Perform various administrative functions for assigned accounts, such as recording address changes and purging the records of deceased customers.
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
  • Match purchase order forms with invoices and record the necessary information.
  • Posting data or keeping other records concerning costs of goods or services or the shipment of goods.
  • Prepare bank deposits and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to banks.
  • Contact vendors to obtain or relay account information.
  • Compare computer printouts to manually maintained spreadsheets to determine if they match.
  • Resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
  • Answer mail or telephone inquiries regarding rates, routing, or procedures.
  • Keep records of invoices and support documents.
  • File paid invoices.
  • Daily General Cashier Duties

   Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role or a Bachelor's/Associate degree in Accounting or a related field. 
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Previous hotel front desk or Accounting experience helpful
