Job Purpose
To manage all wood procurement activities to ensure long term supply to Manufacturing facilities which meet company objectives for profitability.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Budget and forecast costs and volumes of raw materials
- Negotiate and supervise various contracts including logging, road construction, and transportation
- Appraise and negotiate or bid private and government timber sale purchases
- Monitor and report accomplishments and compare to budgets/goals
- Ensure delivery of raw materials to mills meeting quality, quantity, and cost objectives
- Provide timely information and participation in Mill Business Team decisions
- Frequent travel required
What do I need to be successful?
- 2 years supervisory experience
- 5 years forestry experience
- Or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
- Knowledge of company products
- Knowledge of general forestry principles and skills
- Basic knowledge of contracts and environmental regulations
- Driver’s license required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or equivalent experience
