About the Department
Plan and direct business functions to support a 1,468 bed multi-level facility with a budget in excess of $29 million dollars, including an Academic/Vocational Program, and Health Care Services. Oversee all business office, food service, maintenance, warehouse, quartermaster, purchasing and store operations at the facility.

Minimum Qualifications
Education typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience equivalent to a Food Services Supervisor 11, Physical Plant Supervisor 12, or Industries Supervisor 13; or, two years equivalent to a Fire Safety Supervisor 12, Food Service Supervisor 12, Physical Plant Supervisor 13, or Industries Supervisor 14 may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.

New hires to the MDOC along with previous MDOC employees that are returning after being away from the department for more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) either 40 hours or 80 hours of initial in-person training based on their level of offender contact and job classification. All new employees will complete additional online training to successfully complete their non-custody new employee training.
