Job Title:  Retail Supervisor

Work Days/Hours:  Varied, Full Time

Classification: Non-exempt, Hourly 


Job Description:   

Responsible for the daily operations, staff, and merchandise of the retail space.  Ensuring that not only our product is being sold but our brand as well. The overriding and most important function of each employee is to either directly (by interaction) or indirectly (by providing the key support role to a guest experience) strive to provide the finest in friendly service and quality product.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify tasks that need to be done and prioritize effectively.
  • Ensures availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories. 
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • Daily restocking of retail displays.
  • Knowledge and use of a cash register.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls.
  • Greeting and assisting guest in a friendly manner.
  • Knowledge of all in store programs, policies and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of all resort departments.
  • Must have a flexible schedule due to the nature of our business.
  • Works with vendors on ordering products, set prices on merchandise, and ensures a profitable cost of sale.
  • Attend group sales meetings and work directly with other departments to create an organized stay for our groups.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

Pre-Employment Requirements:  Reference check, criminal background check, drug test. 


Education and/or Experience:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Minimum of 2 years retail experience.
  • Prior Management experience preferred.


Performance Skills:

  • Demonstrate the ability to provide expert care, sensitive consideration and efficient service to guest
  • Good communication skills
  • Be able to work as a team player
  • Must be self motivated.
