The Opportunity 

 

This position comprises a role in the Accounting & Control team for Glanbia Foods Inc. based in Twin Falls, Idaho. The role involves the provision of accurate, relevant, knowledgeable and timely financial and transactional accounting information to Glanbia.  This includes the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, transactional accounting summaries and other financial duties as they are assigned. This permanent position will report to the Financial Controller.

 

  • Demonstrate and lead out a solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and standards in daily work.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis and trend information as requested.
  • Review work and assess for reasonableness; identify significant variances and carry out initial investigations.
  • Review general ledger postings and prepare general ledger journal entries.
  • Perform daily revenue reconciliations and control validation checks over the Order to Cash cycle.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and revenue reconciliations.
  • Assist with the management of the LIV Log, GRIR and other areas in the Procure to Pay cycle.
  • Prepare detailed analysis and templates underpinning key financial forecasting cycle outputs.
  • Liaise with Internal and External Audit team members, supporting these audit processes through the provision of accurate and timely financial information.
  • Actively support and drive collaboration with the Shared Services Center whilst seeking to identify opportunities for task standardization.

  • Participates in special projects/action teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

The Skills you will bring to the team 

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or a minimum of 2-4 year’s related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiply projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
