Position: IT Tech Analyst I 
Location: San Diego
Salary Range: Starting at $30.00 per hour based on experience.

As an IT Tech Analyst I, you’ll be the first line of defense for technical troubleshooting, assisting teams at Metis, Sharp Community Medical Group (SCMG), and affiliated practices. From setting up devices to ensuring compliance and cybersecurity, this is a critical role that keeps our systems running smoothly and securely.
What You’ll Do:
Frontline Technical Support
  • Respond to help desk requests and resolve hardware/software issues
  • Configure desktops, laptops, printers, mobile phones, and other devices
  • Support onboarding and offboarding (account creation, equipment setup)
  • Troubleshoot and assist with Microsoft 365 and other internal software
  • Escalate more complex tech issues to senior team members
Security & Compliance
  • Follow established protocols to maintain IT security standards
  • Monitor for basic cybersecurity threats and support secure login practices
  • Help ensure systems meet HIPAA and privacy requirements
Process & System Support
  • Assist in documenting FAQs and user guides
  • Maintain and track IT inventory and asset assignments
  • Support continuous improvement of support workflows
Team Collaboration & Communication
  • Deliver friendly, effective support to both technical and non-technical users
  • Collaborate with internal IT teammates to resolve tickets promptly
  • Participate in regular team discussions and contribute feedback
Knowledge Management
  • Maintain technical documentation and deployment/configuration standards
  • Create resources and guides for ongoing troubleshooting and knowledge sharing
Additional Duties
  • Provide general support for Metis, SCMG, and partner medical practices as needed
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of IT support experience, ideally in healthcare or multi-site environments
  • Familiar with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and help desk tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in IT or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.)

  • Strong troubleshooting and technical know-how
  • Clear communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Professional, calm, and service-oriented under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced IT environment
  • Diligent in applying security and HIPAA standards
  • Collaborative team player with excellent documentation skills
  • Organized multitasker with attention to detail
