Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional - 6.5 hours/day at Andersen Elementary School
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to serve as an elementary academic and social support specialist who will provide crucial instructional assistance across diverse learning needs while fostering social-emotional development in young learners. This role requires a collaborative professional who can implement individualized learning strategies, support small group and one-on-one instruction, and guide students in developing essential life skills including self-regulation and emotional resilience. The ideal candidate knows how to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues, maintains reliable attendance and professional commitment, and shows adaptability to meet the evolving needs of learners. This paraprofessional will play an integral role in our Andersen culture by developing confident, emotionally intelligent, and academically prepared students during their most formative educational years.
Requirements: In order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualifed prior to your start date. To be considered Highly Qualifed, you must have ONE of the following; a Bachelor's Degree or an Associates Degree, or 60+ hours of post-secondary education, or a Passing Score on the ParaPro Exam. Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. (Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college or a copy of the ParaPro Exam report.)
Work Schedule: 6.5 hours per day, Monday - Friday from 7:25 A.M. - 2:25 P.M. on student contact days
