Reporting to the Product Specification Team Leader, this role is integral to the delivery of customer specifications into physical vehicles. Working cross functionally with the Sales, Design and Bespoke Engineering, the primary focus will be creation of production documentation and colour codes within agreed SLA’s (service level agreements). To ensure customer specifications and BoM (bill of materials) freeze timelines are achieved to maintain production. Ensure any changes to customer specifications are robustly captured and reflected in all associated production documents and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate across the business including Design, Sales, Manufacturing and Bespoke Engineering to clearly translate customer specifications into business and supplier facing documentation.
- Cross reference approved customer requests to final customer specifications and coordinate resolutions where required.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams, resolving specification-related questions or issues efficiently.
- Monitor production documentation sign-off to ensure the initial release and specification updates are issued to the business within agreed time scales.
- Define colour codes and configure customer vehicles for both standard options and bespoke customer requests.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities to find efficiencies and improve robustness.
- Proactively identify risks or challenges within project specifications and propose solutions to mitigate potential impacts.
