Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Veterinary Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the pharmacy operations within a veterinary setting, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for animal patients. This role requires a strong understanding of veterinary pharmacology and the ability to communicate effectively with both veterinary staff and pet owners. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Dispense medications and provide pharmaceutical care to animal patients. 
• Collaborate with veterinarians to develop and implement medication plans. 
• Educate pet owners on medication usage, side effects, and potential interactions. 
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and inventory management. 
• Stay updated on the latest veterinary pharmaceutical developments and regulations. 
• Provide guidance on compounding medications as needed. 

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications: 

• Registered pharmacist in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (required). 
• Degree in pharmacy (PharmD or equivalent) from an accredited institution. 
• Experience in veterinary pharmacy or a demonstrated interest in veterinary medicine. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time and walk intermittently.?  
• Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  
• Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
