About the Role:
The part-time Shuttle Driver at The Vanguard Hotel in Ann Arbor, MI, plays a crucial role in providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services for hotel guests and staff. This position ensures timely shuttle operations between designated locations, enhancing the overall guest experience by facilitating convenient access to local destinations. The driver will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational condition of the shuttle vehicle, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests, addressing their needs and inquiries with a positive attitude. Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience driving a passenger vehicle in a professional setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent certification.
- Experience working in the hospitality or transportation industry.

Responsibilities:
- Operate the hotel shuttle vehicle safely and efficiently according to scheduled routes and times.
- Assist guests with boarding and exiting the shuttle, including handling luggage when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the shuttle vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure passenger safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Coordinate with hotel staff to manage shuttle schedules and accommodate special transportation requests.
- Keep accurate records of shuttle operations, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
