POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead a broad range of responsibilities, including financial reporting and consolidation, tax compliance, treasury, and general ledger accounting. This hands-on role requires a proactive leader who can recommend system design, improve processes, supervise a growing team and also manage tactical accounting tasks. The Accounting Manager will be instrumental in establishing a robust financial reporting package, streamlining the month-end close process, and leading the transition to monthly consolidated reporting. The successful candidate will possess a strong affinity for creating structure in a dynamic environment, and fostering communication and alignment within the finance team and cross-functionally.

Essential Function Statement(s)
Oversee financial reporting, including standard month-end close procedures, consolidation, development and refinement of monthly reporting packages and KPI dashboards, robust review, and implementation of structures to facilitate information sharing.
Manage general ledger accounting and reconciliations, building and leading a team over time, improving systems and processes, and creating policies to support enhanced reporting and GAAP compliance.
Proactively manage income tax compliance, partnering with external accounting firms on overall structure and strategy, and overseeing and supporting required deliverables related to quarterly estimates, R&D tax credits, cost segregation, and federal and state returns. Evaluate the changing business landscape to ensure compliance both domestically and internationally.
Coordinate annual assurance engagements, including planning and oversight of deliverables. Strategize and execute projects necessary to support the shift from annual review to annual audit.
Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, develop process narratives, and create risk/control matrices.
Own the research and documentation of complex applications of GAAP and accounting structures to ensure proper treatment.
Manage fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and capital expenditure forecasting and evaluation.
Establish cash flow forecasting and reporting, and partner with the Controller on treasury responsibilities, including bank controls and system administration.
Deliver periodic and ad-hoc financial reporting internally and externally (e.g., census, various compliance, business partner reporting).
Oversee financial and accounting aspects of payroll and compensation, including payroll journal entries, reconciliations, incentive calculations, and forecasting.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Other Requirements

Proven ability to thrive in dynamic environments and create structure and order from ambiguity.
A blend of public and private accounting experience, CPA license preferred.
Experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) and manufacturing.
SAP experience is ideal.
Strong understanding of GAAP
Experience with multi-currency consolidation and reporting
Exceptional project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Pay, Benefits & Perks:
The estimated annual pay for this role is $125,000 to $145,000. This pay is an estimate and the exact compensation may vary depending on an applicant's location, skills, prior experience, professional qualifications, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may also include incentive compensation (i.e. bonus or commission) if applicable.
