Eaton’s EPG CPD PCD Power Components Division division is currently seeking a Quality Technician. The position will be based at our facility in Beaver, PA.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year.

What you’ll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Quality Technician is responsible for improving and assuring quality in all products and various services of the facility through driving the day-to-day quality system activities and deployment of ELS.  In this role, you will provide ongoing daily support to the manufacturing floor and customers.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Identify, evaluate and implement corrective action necessary to resolve quality issues in the plant.  Coordinates and participates in 8D problem solving teams and facilitates identification of root causes.  Ensures implementation and follow-through of permanent corrective action.
• Identify/lead improvement opportunities and consults with plant management on alternatives for improving operation efficiency/ effectiveness and product quality.
• Work closely with customers to resolve quality concerns, ensuring positive customer relations. 
• Authorize customer returns and make decisions involving issuance of credit.
• Participate in ProLaunch sessions with the goal of improving quality and processing before actual product begins.
• Perform, organize and report all elements of PPAP testing and PFMEA documentation.  Provides internal/ external statistical reports as needed.
• Responsible for ISO certifications documentation, overseeing procedure updates and ensuring accurate records. Educates and instructs plant personnel in quality assurance procedures, and ensure adherence through an extensive audit program.
• Ensure operation of all Laboratory measuring and data collection equipment through calibration/preventive maintenance program and in-house repair/replacement.  Able to perform all lab duties; functions as back-up for lab technician.
• Assist in the development and implementation of special projects, working in conjunction with the Quality Manager.
• Monitor customer websites (WISPER) and drive customer satisfaction through proactive visits. Coordinate and conduct compliance audits for local Quality Management System and perform necessary actions to meet or exceed target level of EQS Implementation.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 1 year of quality or engineering work experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future..
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.  Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering from an accredited institution.
Three (3) years of experience in Quality in a manufacturing environment
Experience with international quality standards, lean manufacturing, statistical methods, blueprint reading and continuous improvement tools such as FMEA, DOE.
ASQ certifications
Experience with MFGPro
Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification 
Skills:
Position Criteria:

Knowledge or training in Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Design Of Experiments, and/or Statistical Process Control.
Proven project management, planning, and problem-solving abilities.  
Position will require excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills to lead and train diverse teams.
