Assistant Middle School Volleyball Coach
Season begin date: August 2025
Season end date: October 2025
Salary: $2,155 - $2,500 DOE Location: Kalama Middle School
Benefits: This position is not eligible for health or retirement benefits
Reports to: Athletic Director
*Season may include summer camp duties
DESCRIPTION: Assist the Head Coach by providing instruction to students in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport
Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises
Assist the Head Coach by assessing students' skills, monitors students during competition and practice
Assist the Head Coach with game strategy
Follows established procedures in the event of an injury
Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials and spectators
Supervises and maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security
Distributes and collects equipment, supplies and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach
Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times
Participates in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies
Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records
- Models non discriminatory practices in all activities
- Must complete SafeSchools and Final Forms training prior to the beginning of the sport's season
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
High School diploma or GED
Per WIAA - minimum age for head coach is 21 years of age, assistant coach is 19 years of age
Previous Coaching experience preferred
Reasoning ability
