Major/Essential Functions
- Investigates and adjudicates cases of Individual and organizational Student Conduct, including, but not limited to referrals from student complainants, faculty and/or staff members, the Texas Tech Police Department, University Student Housing, and academic integrity referrals.
- Creates Individualized, educationally based sanctions, conditions, and/or restrictions for individual students who are found responsible for violating the Code of Student Conduct. Assists with coordination of all Clery reporting.
- Assists with the coordination of University Student Housing referrals and conducts University Student Housing investigations
25% Assists in the management of the Office of Student Conduct.
- Assists with campus presentations, education, and outreach efforts related to the Conduct process and the Code of Student Conduct.
- Assists in the development of strategic planning, document creation, Panel Hearing training, and policies and procedures related to administration of The Office of Student Conduct.
- Assists with the development of annual goals and the annual report specifically related to areas of responsibility and for other programs and services administered through the Office of Student Conduct.
- Assists with annual revisions of the Student Handbook and Code of Student Conduct for final approval through the Board of Regents.
- Assists with the Office of Student Conduct database management software, Maxient.
- Assists with crisis intervention and academic/personal referral to university departments and community agencies. Supports the ServicePlus philosophy of Texas Tech. overall exhibits ServicePlus orientation in work attitudes and actions, for example, appearance, attendance, cooperation, timely and courteous response, and attentiveness.
