Job Summary
The Laboratory Assistant will support overall laboratory operations and research activities. Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with laboratory management tasks, including:
Maintenance of transgenic mouse colonies
Ordering and inventory management of laboratory supplies
Ensuring compliance with institutional and federal protocols related to animal care, controlled substances, and biosafety regulations
Providing research support to laboratory members by:
Assisting with stereotactic surgeries and mouse behavioral assays
Conducting data analysis
Performing perfusions and histological processing
This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a research environment.
