1. | Establishes and promotes high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior. |
2. | Utilizes student data information systems including: Infinite Campus referrals, Syscloud filtering reports, etc. Documents incidents and resolutions in a timely manner. |
3. | Manages student behavior and assigns consequences primarily focusing on level one according to the Code of Conduct. (If behavior is recurring or exceeds level one, consult with administration). |
4. | Communicates with families in a timely manner regarding any student concerns. |
5. | Manages the operation of the school to ensure a safe and orderly climate (e.g. assists arrival and dismissal, fire drills, lock downs, etc.). |
6. | Ensures compliance with all laws, board policies, and civil regulations. |
7. | Collaborates with administration to support student needs. |
8. | Keeps the Principal and Assistant Principal, other appropriate administrators informed of school activities and problems such as transportation, discipline, parental concerns, etc. |
9. | Serves as a role model for students and staff, demonstrating the importance and relevance of learning, accepting responsibility, and demonstrating pride in the education profession. |
10. | Maintains visibility with students, staff, caregivers and the BOE. |
11. | Provides supervision of students both in and outside of the classroom in accordance with building and district expectations. |
12. | Reports to school on time. |
13. | Maintains confidentiality. |
14. | Adheres to and enforces the CCSD Code of Conduct. |
15. | Participates, when appropriate, in continuous professional growth and development related to student management and mediation. |
16. | Attends required meetings and follows building rules, procedures and district policies. |
17. | Maintains positive, cooperative and mutually supportive relationships with students, staff, caregivers, colleagues, district personnel and community. |
18. | Uses excellent written and oral English skills when communicating with students, staff, caregivers and community. |
