What you'll do:
As a subject matter expert on payments processing, you will take a leadership role in determining the configuration of our core banking payments processing system for FED Wires, ACH, RDC, Visa & MC Card, checks, CD and IRA’s. You will own day-to-day banking operations relating to customer onboarding, account opening, term deposits, loans, account transactions, wires, ACH and SWIFT payments, reconciliations and other general banking needs. Additionally, you will leverage strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure quality service and efficient operations support.
Responsibilities include:
- Guide the implementation of the automated deposit payment processing function of our core banking system
- Daily GL account reconciliation
- Onboard Customers and Accounts in Core Banking System
- Deposit account Maintenance
- Enter Wire, ACH and SWIFT transactions
- Process CD and IRA transactions
- Process Process chargebacks and check returns
- Process Card disputes
- Process daily transactions exceptions and returns
- Create and update Operational procedures as needed
- Develop and execute test cases for Payments processing
- Work cohesively cross-functionally to provide internal support to other department
What you need:
- An undergraduate degree in business (preferred) or at least 3 or more years of relevant work experience with a commercial bank
- 2+ years experience in banking operations – specifically DDAs, term deposits, loans, wires, ACH, RDC, Card, checks, international payments and accounting and banking regulations is required
- Experience with NACHA rules and regulations (AAP Certified a plus)
- Experience working directly with the FED to process wires
- 2+ years of experience working with a core banking system, surrounding applications and related work processes utilized throughout operations
- Knowledge of workflow redesign and process improvement relating to customer onboarding, DDAs, term deposits, loans, wires, ACH, RDC, Visa debit Card processing, IRA, CD and domestic and international payments
- FIS core experience
