Position Summary:

Flaking Structure Operators oversees the receipt of corn, manufacture of flaked corn product and loadout of trucks with finished product.

Essential Functions:

• Check and sign off unloading slips. Proper destination assignment.
• Initial discharge inspection of inbound corn quality.
• Manage bin source for flaking
• Manage flaking temperatures for optimal performance
• Monitoring of finished flake densities for optimal performance
• Loadout of customers with finished products
• Monitor and Log flaking production and outgoing product
• Maintain an acceptable appearance of facility
• Housekeeping of areas include but not limited to:
• Condo storage 
• Tank 16 & 17 
• Boiler house 
• Facility exterior 
• Cooler floor 
• Flaking floor 
• Loadout Scale 
• Cyclone area 
• Monitor cyclones for proper performance
• Treat all customers in a kind, courteous, and professional manner 

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

• Basic knowledge of mill operations
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Knowledge:

• Operator is to ensure proper routing of inbound ingredients to their proper destination.
• Preventing cross contamination and lost inventory
• Managing ingredient flow in an effective and efficient manner
• Managing timely unloading of inbound ingredients trucks
• Providing a positive atmosphere for ingredient suppliers, while never sacrificing the production capabilities of mill operations.
