Here, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals in a clean and efficient dining service. Founded in 1977, Little Flower Manor is a non-profit 127-bed nursing home offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care options. Situated on beautifully landscaped grounds, our facility is known for its friendly and compassionate services throughout the surrounding communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Sweep, mop, and scrub floors, walls, and ceilings in the dietary department.
- Empty trash and recycle bins.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing dining areas.
- Food Service:
- Assist with food preparation, serving, and cleanup.
- Help set up and break down meal service areas.
- Distribute food trays to residents.
- Assist residents with feeding, as needed.
- Inventory and Supply Management:
- Assist with inventory control of food supplies and equipment.
- Stock kitchen shelves and refrigerators.
- Order supplies as needed.
- General Duties:
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements (Very Heavy):
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stoop.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in a food service environment a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic with a positive and reliable attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
