Job Summary
The Fleet &Operations Safety Analyst will have a strong eye for detail and a knack for turning data into actionable insights. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting fleet safety and performance data to support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, business intelligence tools, and a passion for enhancing fleet safety and efficiency through data-driven insights.
Essential Functions

- Collect, clean, and manage large datasets from fleet management systems, telematics, and safety reporting platforms.
- Analyze safety & Fleet/Operations-related data (e.g., incidents, near-misses, maintenance logs, driver behavior) to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and safety metrics.
- Collaborate with Fleet/Operations, Safety, and Compliance teams to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Support root cause analysis and investigations of safety incidents by providing relevant data and trend analysis.
- Automate recurring reports and streamline data workflows to improve reporting efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate fleet reliability and safety performance against internal benchmarks and regulatory standards.
- Provide recommendations to reduce risk, improve driver safety, and enhance overall fleet performance.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting platforms.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to fleet safety and performance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and Microsoft Azure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with fleet management systems, telematics, and safety compliance reporting is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Business Travel
- This job requires up to 20% planned business travel.
Education and Experience
- High School graduation or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience 0 to 2 years in a data analytics role, preferably within fleet, logistics, or transportation industries desired
