Ichor Systems is hiring for an Engineering Manager, based out of our Sauk Rapids, MN location. Reporting to the Sr Director of Engineering, this position will lead a cross-functional engineering team in the design, development, and production of advanced semiconductor components. The successful candidate will oversee engineering operations from product concept through to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring technical excellence, timely delivery, and cross-departmental alignment.
Responsibilities
Specific job duties:
Lead and mentor a team of engineers (design, test, process, product, and/or packaging engineers).
Drive the development of new semiconductor components, including design reviews, prototyping, validation, and qualification.
Collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, Operations, and Quality teams to define product requirements and execution plans.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful product launches.
Ensure robust design-for-manufacturability (DFM), design-for-test (DFT), and reliability strategies are implemented.
Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team productivity and product quality.
Support customer engagements on technical topics, including issue resolution, custom requirements, and product roadmaps.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or a related field.
7+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor component design, development, or manufacturing.
Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional engineering teams and managing complex projects.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
