Position Summary: JCCA’s mission is to provide the highest quality child welfare and mental health services to New York’s neediest and most vulnerable children and families to ensure that their safety, permanency and well-being leads to a life of stability and promise.

Our programs include foster and residential care, educational assistance and remediation, case management for young people with mental health challenges and services to families to prevent child abuse and maltreatment. JCCA offers safety, stability and lifesaving support to help our clients transform their lives. JCCA programs help more than 17,000 children and families annually.

We are seeking a  Program Supervisor for the Medically Fragile Program, which helps provide resource navigation, advocacy and education to caregivers of youth in foster care with significant health needs. 

The Supervisor will support the mission and goals of the program by ensuring that the Case Planners are providing the appropriate services to the children and families on their caseload with the goal of achieving permanency, and that all compliance-related deliverables are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train and develop team of Case Planners and Socio-Therapists
  • Oversee each placement, finalizes individual treatment plans for children after discussion with foster parents and staff, monitors each case, and updates treatment plans as necessary
  • Review all FASPs, Progress Notes, Court Reports, correspondence and other documentation, ensuring quality and timely submission
  • Provide group and individual supervision to Case Planners and Socio-Therapists to address case-related issues/themes and review case progress and compliance
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate submission of all forms and documents required by ACS
  • Present at weekly case conferences
  • Participate in program development and quality improvement activities
  • Provide coverage for Case Planners during PTO or when there are multiple vacancies
  • Provide rotated administrative coverage during evenings and on weekends

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or Psychology is required; NYS license is preferred
  • At least two (2) years of previous supervisory experience overseeing case management or clinical staff
  • Previous experience in child welfare, specifically foster home services and community based direct practice experience is preferred
  • Must be a self-starter who is able to manage, prioritize and accomplish tasks, meeting program deliverables and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with client and teams that are culturally and professionally diverse

Salary: $67K -$80K
