Description
The part-time After-School Tutoring Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the TMS Tutoring Program. This position ensures smooth day-to-day operations, effective communication among stakeholders, and the ongoing improvement of student academic outcomes through data-informed decision-making. The coordinator plays a key role in designing and sustaining a high-impact tutoring experience for students.
Requirements
- Manage the enrollment process for students, tutors, and teachers
- Match students with tutors based on academic needs and instructional strengths
- Develop and maintain weekly tutoring schedules; coordinate room assignments and logistics
- Create clear and timely communication for tutors, families, and staff
- Design and manage an organizational system for tutoring materials, assessments, and surveys
- Act as the primary point of contact between tutors, students, teachers, and families
- Regularly update student goals and progress based on input from teachers and parents
- Gather and share feedback from tutors with families in a timely manner
- Maintain student goal binders and ensure they are updated with relevant materials and progress notes
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tutor or student attendance and scheduling
- Collect, analyze, and report on pre- and post-program data to measure impact
- Develop a tiered evaluation system focused on key student outcomes
- Share program data and insights with school leadership and other stakeholders
- Identify and apply for grant opportunities to support and expand the tutoring program
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher
Preferences
- Graduate Degree or higher
- Two (2) years of experience coordinating tutoring/enrichment programs
- Experience working with a diverse student population
