The 2nd Shift Cabinet, Panels, Harness Wiring Lead at LayerZero Power Systems is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Wiring Production Team Lead to oversee and drive excellence in our cabinet, harness, and panel production operations.
Job Title: 2nd Shift Cabinet, Panels, Harness Wiring Lead
Requirements
Duties:
· Lead daily meetings to share production schedules, updates, and team goals
· Promote a culture of pride, accountability, and craftsmanship
· Train, coach, and mentor new team members and testers for technical proficiency and safety awareness
· Deliver consistent feedback to the Plant Manager to drive performance and workflow improvements
· Champion teamwork and morale through positive reinforcement and example-setting
· Oversee cabinet, harness, and panel production queues to ensure on-time delivery and throughput consistency
· Train employees on wiring tools, JT files, BOMs, worksheets, and Cirris Tester equipment
· Ensure kits and component assemblies are built accurately using standardized instructions
· Monitor job status using systems like e-Boss and update the Production White Board regularly
· Complete sign-off sheets and verify BOM accuracy for each panel build
· Document and resolve PCIs in collaboration with engineering and production teams
· Conduct daily 5S audits and regular safety inspections
· Maintain high cleanliness standards in all work areas
· Model safe work practices and encourage safety ownership across the team
· Identify and log product defects, initiating corrective actions and root cause analysis
· Maintain and service hand tools to ensure peak performance
· Coordinate with internal teams to confirm material availability for all wiring activities
· Monitor inventory levels of purchased components; proactively address shortages
· Escalate material gaps to procurement and leadership for timely resolution
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Basic knowledge of standard hand tools (i.e. drill, wrench, screwdrivers, etc.)
· Basic computer skills (i.e. web browser, email)
· Familiarity with manufacturing processes and types of materials/components
· Strong organizational and time management skills
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
· Ability to stand or sit for an extended period of time
· Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder while working
· Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
Schedule: Monday- Thursday- 2pm – 12:30am + overtime if needed.
