Description

Position Summary:

The Bars Kitchen Worker is responsible for cleaning floors, floor drains, stainless steel counter tops, soda guns, and sinks in the bar areas of the property. The Bars Kitchen Worker will also remove, clean, and return floor mats, remove dirty linen, and clean and return glassware to proper locations. Responsibilities include the set up and breakdown of dish machines in the bar areas for next use. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
  2. Clean stations and bars including breaking down and setting up machines.
  3. Cleaning floors, floor mats, and walls.
  4. Remove all soiled linen from the stations and storage according to policies and procedures in place.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of work stations and communicate with Sanitation department management when assistance is needed.
  6. Remove trash and transport to compactor including lifting and maneuvering trash cans, bags, and boxes. 
  7. Conduct monthly deep cleaning of bar areas including removing and cleaning glass machines, emptying refrigerators for cleaning, clearing shelves and bar displays for cleaning.
  8. Maintain basic knowledge of use of chemicals for cleaning and sanitation.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and management in both written and verbal form.
  3. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  4. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  2. Requires the ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.
  3. Must be able to bend and reach to a height of six (6) feet with or without assistance.
  4. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  5. Must be able to push up to 250 lbs. on a pushcart.
  6. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.

Work Conditions:

Work is typically conducted in the casino, which may be hot, cold, noisy, and be in the presence of secondhand smoke. Work will also be conducted in enclosed areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Work will also be performed outdoors and involves continuous exposure to high and low temperatures, inclement weather, sunlight, and wet surfaces. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of an assigned area. Team Member must possess proper safety training in the use of chemicals. Frequent contact with fellow Team Members and Guests is standard.
