Oversees NF 1 associates in the execution of administrative and clerical support to cashier's cage/customer service operations. Utilizes leadership skills to empower associates to create a positive environment that drives the customer experience and Exchange brand loyalty.
Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Greets each customer upon contact and/or line of sight, assesses their needs, suggests alternative options, and provides resolution. Keeps their needs foremost and creates a welcoming environment, actively engages, and builds trust relationship with the customer in order to deliver a personalized shopping experience.

Leads associates utilizing effective communication skills. Trains and coaches associates to perform a variety of routine administrative clerical duties such as processing layaways, controlling layaway merchandise, refunds/adjustments, issuing hunting/fishing licenses, and school meals at OCONUS locations.
Communicates performance expectations and maintains employee communication folders to include communication record, time and attendance record, job description, and checklist. Provides effective feedback on adherence to established performance standards and recommends development opportunities.
Ensures accountability for all money assigned, such as issuing change funds, preparing bank deposits, receiving/verifying daily cash receipts, processing western union transactions, and petty cash funds. Oversees the control of internal keys and handheld scanners.
Ensures loss prevention and accountability procedures are followed and minimizes all controllable expenses. Assures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations, as well as ensuring the security of fixed assets, cash, and inventory.
Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the Military Star credit card, Exchange protection plan, and other corporate programs to customers to drive sales growth and increase customer brand loyalty.
May operate a cash register or other sales related equipment to perform daily tasks. Verifies and accepts multiple tenders for payments and makes change with accuracy and zero variance tolerance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Completion of high school or the equivalent. Knowledge of Exchange cash handling procedures, accounting, and/or bookkeeping experience is required. Supervisory experience is preferred.
