Xpressdocs is looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Manager to join our Operations team. You will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities and inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels, cost-effectiveness, and seamless operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective supplier management, and a proactive approach to inventory planning to meet business goals and customer needs. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and team-oriented leader who excels in building and managing both systems and people. They are as committed to operational excellence as they are to fostering a supportive and effective work environment.
In this position, you will:
- Develop profitable purchasing strategies.
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct audits, forecast demand, and optimize inventory to prevent overstock or shortages.
- Manage budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and minimize carrying costs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing/inventory team; ensure collaboration with internal departments.
- Streamline procurement and inventory processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with policies.
- Analyze data, create performance reports, and provide insights for strategic decisions.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks; develop contingency plans for disruptions.
