The Plum Borough School District is seeking caring, dedicated Paraprofessionals to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year at Plum Senior High School
- Hourly Wage: $20.35 per hour
- Work Schedule: 7-hour school days, 183 school days per year
- Professional Development: 20 additional hours of paid professional learning annually

The Paraprofessional provides vital support to students and instructional staff to foster academic success, student independence, and positive school experiences in an inclusive and welcoming environment. This role is key to helping students thrive—providing both academic assistance and support with routines, behaviors, and personal care as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support student learning in classrooms, small groups, or individually
Assist with academic activities, implementation of positive behavior strategies, and reinforcement of instructional content
Support students with daily routines and, when needed, provide personal care assistance
Encourage and model independence, confidence, and positive interactions
Use strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with students, families, and staff
Maintain confidentiality and support a respectful learning environment for all students
Participate in all required professional development, training, or meetings as directed
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher, building principal, or administration
Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: 48 college credits or an Associate’s Degree ?or completion with passing score on the Pennsylvania Special Education Paraeducator Credential of Competency offered through the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN)
Certification: CPR/AED required (may be completed after hire)
