Position Title: Terrain Park Attendant
Business Unit: Mountain Operations
Position Reports to: Terrain Park Crew Lead, Terrain Park Supervisor
Location: Crystal Mountain, Washington
Wage Range: $20.00 - 21.00 / hr. DOE
JOB SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Performs regular maintenance of terrain park features, boundary ropes, and signage during operating hours using snow rakes, shovels, and drills
Prepares terrain park to be opened each day by setting up signage and boundary ropes, clearing fresh snow, and shaping snow around each feature
Prepares terrain park for grooming at the end of each day by removing any obstacles to snow grooming equipment, and reshaping/rebuilding feature takeoffs
Maintains a positive guest experience for terrain park users. Acts as an ambassador to the public by setting good examples of terrain park etiquette on the mountain.
Keeps track of and maintains tools and equipment (rakes, shovels, drills, radios etc.)
Inspects and tests features in the terrain park to ensure all features are free of damage, and to determine when snow maintenance is required
Closes features as needed when conditions or other circumstances do not allow them to be ridden safely
Helps in spotting/reporting any injuries in the terrain park to ski patrol

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must have strong skiing/riding skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 60 pounds on an occasional basis, and a minimum of 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
Ability to safely ski or snowboard in adverse conditions and on steep terrain, including freestyle terrain.
Manual dexterity to operate hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and basic carpentry tools.
Ability to work outside in ANY AND ALL weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, high winds, and cold temperatures.
Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on a frequent basis.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
