We are looking for an adaptable, process-minded Specialized Operations Associate to join our Spec Ops team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to understand operations from the ground up, is energized by solving problems, and thrives in dynamic environments where innovation is constant. You’ll start by learning the frontlines at our EPIC centers and then help design, test, and scale strategic projects (known as PIGS – Performance, Innovation, Growth/Scale) across our organization.
Location: Fully On-site Position, Metro-Detroit, Southfield, MI
Key Responsibilities:
Phase 1: Immersion & Learning
- Rotate through multiple EPIC centers to learn key workflows (front desk, clinical assistant, provider, billing)
- Shadow leadership, training, acquisition, and other roles to understand center operations and team dynamics
- Develop working knowledge of our EPIC systems and tools including patient flow, patient journey, and operational organization structure
Phase 2: HQ/Operations Integration
- Learn the structure and flow of the MSO (Managed Services Organization), including cross-departmental collaborations with HR, IT, Ops, Finance, and Marketing
- Participate in huddles, Gemba walks, and resource planning sessions
Phase 3: Project & Innovation Testing
- Support project planning sessions using IOO logic models, SPRINT charters, and Agile/Scrum methods
- Capture operational feedback, document workflows, and escalate improvement opportunities
- Contribute to training playbooks and facilitate Train-the-Trainer sessions for successful pilots
Required Skills and Traits:
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work cross-functionally with field and HQ-based teams
- Strong adaptability and comfort in high-change environments
- Highly organized with attention to detail and process discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in healthcare, operations, education, training, or similar fields
- Exposure to project coordination, Agile/SCRUM, or Lean methodology a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, not required
- Comfortable working in clinical environments
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to: Specialized Operations Manager / Spec Ops Program Lead
- Collaborates with: Center Leadership and MSO Shared Services Teams
Work Environment & Travel:
- Must be open to local and regional travel during the field rotation phase
- Periodic travel to pilot locations or innovation sprints
