The pay range represents the anticipated base pay for this position. Actual pay will be based on factoring including, but not limited to: market data, internal equity, skillset and knowledge, experience, education and overall qualifications for the role.

This position is based in Bloomington, MN and offers a hybrid work schedule. (2-3 days in the office weekly)
JOB SUMMARY
The Banking Applications Analyst supports strategic initiatives and key operational projects across MidCountry Bank by collaborating closely with business partners and CB Shared Services, Inc. (CBSSI), MidCountry Bank’s IT affiliate. This role focuses on improving business processes, enhancing the effectiveness of banking applications, and ensuring that organizational changes align with business goals and regulatory requirements. With a strong emphasis on operational excellence and user support, the Business Analyst helps deliver solutions that improve customer service, increase efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Initiative & Business Process Support
- Partner with business leaders and the Director of Operations to align initiatives with organizational strategy and operational needs.
- Facilitate working sessions to define project scope, gather business requirements, and validate goals.
- Participate in the evaluation of business opportunities and challenges by offering insights into industry best practices and competitor trends.
- Contribute to change management efforts by supporting communication, training, and adoption planning.
2. Business Process Improvement
- Analyze existing workflows and operational procedures across departments to identify opportunities for simplification, efficiency, and enhanced customer experience.
- Collaborate with teams to define current and future state processes that align with strategic objectives and compliance standards.
- Recommend solutions that reduce manual work, mitigate risk, and improve performance across banking functions such as retail banking, lending, and operations.
- Support business units in developing documentation, process maps, and internal controls for new or updated procedures.
3. Application Support & Business Readiness
- Act as the business lead for banking application updates and enhancements, ensuring usability and effectiveness from an end-user perspective.
- Work closely with CB Shared Services, Inc. (CBSSI) and third-party vendors to coordinate application changes, user testing, and feedback collection.
- Support teams in preparing for new application rollouts by coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), training sessions, and user documentation.
- Monitor system behavior after deployment to ensure it meets business expectations and continues to support operational goals.
4. Operational Project Support
- Collaborate with project management and business leaders to clarify requirements, monitor progress, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead or assist in validating outcomes through structured user testing, issue tracking, and results reporting.
- Ensure that business stakeholders understand and are prepared for changes to workflows or applications resulting from initiatives.
5. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across MidCountry Bank to build trust and ensure business needs are well-represented in process or application changes.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, or service enhancement and support implementation of approved changes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through insights, process reviews, and user feedback loops.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education-
- Required: 2 year College or Technical Degree, or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in business, financial or project management
Experience-
- Required: 5+ years of related banking experience, preferably with Fiserv core systems and in an operational capacity.
SCHEDULE
This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week from 8:30 am to 5 :00 pm. The Company reserves the right to change the schedule as required for business needs.
