Position Outline
Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Civil Engineer based in our Port Lavaca, Texas office.
The Civil Engineer will be assigned onsite at client location in Point Comfort, Texas.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Design, build, supervise, operate, and maintain construction projects and systems.
- Lead projects in the Civil engineering area oriented to industrial environment.
- Read, interpret, and approve engineering drawings and specifications.
- Engineering support for Civil discipline with ability to work independently.
- Work with multi-discipline engineering team and clients.
- Provide Civil Engineering support for assigned projects.
- Define scope of supply and provide estimates of work to be performed.
- Utilize skills of wording technical specifications related to reinforced concrete foundations, steel structures, soil investigations, roads and site development, evaluation and analysis of bid results.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- BS Civil Engineering or related engineering degree
- Comprehension and application of the industry standard codes such as IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE, CRSI, ADA and OSHA
- Experience in the petroleum and/or chemical processing industry in a plant environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Excellent computer skills
- A willingness and drive to continue to learn and to improve yourself.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
