The Role

 

The Slotting Coordinator will work closely with the Warehouse Optimization Analyst and be responsible for supporting activities related to slotting optimization. The role requires the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments to balance the needs of the business. Interpersonal skills are a must and the individual will need to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment where pivoting to the business need will occur consistently.

 

What You’ll Do

 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish slotting for all new items based on parameters and guidelines provided by Supply Chain Manager
  • Maintain slotting strategy, policy and procedures across production lines for product relocation, promotions and holidays slotting management, production line balancing.
  • Meet regularly with the Warehouse Manager and Inventory Control Manager to discuss suggestions for slot setup for approval of slot changes.
  • Monitor item velocity and adjust when item meets thresholds
  • Monitor damage and adjust to minimize
  • Review and respond to adjustment requests from the floor associates
  • Communicate slotting changes to the Operations staff in a timely manner.
  • Works with management on de-assigning slots to items when sold out and discontinued from inventory
  • Manage SKU slotting across production lines; new products assignment, product relocation, promotions and holidays slotting management, production line balancing.
  • QA and maintain SKU master date within FD SAP systems.
  • Ad-hoc projects support.

 

 

What You Bring

 

Education and Qualifications:

  • High school education minimum. College coursework or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • One - Three (1 - 3) years of experience in operations with increasing responsibilities
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Prior work experience in operations, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing, preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Manhattan WMS or like ERP system, preferred
  • Ability to consistently lift 50lbs with a potential to occasionally lift up to 80lbs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a drive to help others achieve success
  • Proven ability to evaluate performance data and turn findings into actionable recommendations
  • Comfortable juggling and coordinating multiple projects across several channels simultaneously
  • Detail orientated with strong organizational skills; with a focus on details, teamwork, project management and follow-up
  • Able to write for and work with a wide range of audiences, from executives to line workers
  • Enjoy operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment under time constraints
  • Outstanding and proven written and verbal communication skills

  • The expected compensation for this role is starting $23.67 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
