Portland Public Schools: Early College and eLearning Mentor and Elective Teacher Position
Portland Public Schools seeks an innovative and passionate education professional to join our team as a High School Early College and eLearning Mentor and Elective Teacher.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This teacher will initially serve as a mentor for students taking online courses and students who are in the Portland Early College Program and Teach sections of elective classes as needed per the master schedule. In addition to the PEMC need, students who are engaged in eLearning options at PHS have demonstrated increased success with their online classes (through both PACE and Michigan Virtual) with the requirement to stay on-campus.
Support / Mentor
Future responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, designing and delivering early college readiness classes, course experiences designed to increase student abilities to gain entrance into LCC with their accuplacer scores, and designing a thriving eLearning mentoring program that can be replicated year-over-year for increased students success in online classes.
