Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or coursework in nursing, education, health care, health management or labor support
- Certification as a childbirth educator, or willingness to become certified within the first year of hire
- Experience in Postpartum or Labor and Delivery
- Educational preparation in principles and theory of adult education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience with technology.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and group setting.
- Teaching with organizational principles in mind and with an understanding of hospital policies and procedures.
- Able to incorporate different methods of learning into groups, including the use of all types of audio-visual equipment.
- Remains current with all learning applications, evaluations, and meetings throughout the year.
Preferred Qualifications:
- RN License and/or experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery and postpartum
- Experience in Labor Support or as a Doula
