Our Fuji Financial Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing financial data to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. Key duties include preparing financial statements, forecasting costs and revenues, managing tax payments, and conducting internal and external audits. This role supports the company's financial decisions by providing detailed financial analysis and ensuring the integrity of financial records.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to): |
Record financial information to the general ledger in compliance with established standards, policies, and IFRT (International Financial Reporting Standards) as applicable. |
Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses and analytical reviews. |
Prepares internal and external financial statements |
Assists with internal management reporting and external audit support |
Designs, implements and executes efficient internal control procedures |
Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology. |
Reconciles and balances all cash accounts and various general ledger accounts. |
Analyzes actual variable manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports to support strategic decision-making. |
Assists Accounting Department in cost analysis. |
Performs duties related to the treasury and finance function. |
Provides coverage for Accounts Receivable Dept. when needed. |
Qualifications: |
Four-year degree or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Cost Accounting: Expertise in tracking and managing costs related to production, including raw materials, labor, and overhead. |
Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, such as food safety laws and tax guidelines. |
Financial Reporting: Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. |
Budgeting and Forecasting: Skills in creating and managing budgets, as well as forecasting future financial performance based on historical data. |
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance. |
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial records and reports, which is crucial for compliance and decision-making. |
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. SAP a plus. |
Problem-Solving: Capability to identify financial issues and develop effective solutions to address them |
