SALES GROWTH MANAGER (INSURANCE)

This role is responsible for assisting in recruiting, onboarding, developing, and growing sales talent to meet or exceed business line sales goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with HR to recruit, select, hire and onboard new sales agents in order to grow net sales agent counts.
Supervise and track sales agents’ activity including regular check ins, coaching, technical assistance, proposal reviews, product/carrier selection and adherence to company guidelines and procedures.
Conduct formal one-on-one month-end progress reviews with every new sales agent to review results, activity, assist in goal setting, provide feedback and encouragement including corrective action as needed.
Become subject matter expert on business line preferred carrier partners, products, systems and lead generation programs available including making recommendations to leadership on new ways to maximize sales.
Conduct desk level reviews of agent activity and submitted business, including adherence to guidelines, processes and procedures.
Collaborate with leadership and/or training team to identify training needs, development of new agents, monitor and evaluate performance of various campaigns to increase agent sales performance.
Partner with Service, Operations and Training teams to support procedures and ensure new agents are using AAA’s service model to maximize agent’s selling capacity.
Develop and maintain positive partnerships with sales, service, marketing, IT and HR resources.
Contributes to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals.
Incorporates AAA’s vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to AAA’s vision mission and values.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct supervision to Academy Sales Agents.
Supports developing people, improving processes, reducing costs, monitoring quality, delivering results against established objective, and ensuring a high level of service to internal and external customers.
Supervises assigned employees by supporting recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, developing, counseling, and disciplining employees; monitoring, feedback in appraising, and reviewing employee job contributions; maintaining compensation, resolving problems, and implementing change.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School degree or GED.
4+ years’ experience in sales, insurance, travel, or training role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship or related; or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience with insurance and/or travel carriers, technologies and platforms preferred.
Experience supervising and mentoring.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Obtain and maintain active Washington State Property & Casualty, Life & Disability Insurance license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Comprehensive knowledge of personal lines, commercial lines, and life insurance including fundamental insurance principles, underwriting and risk selection, and policy provisions.
Knowledge of MS Office, Teams, Salesforce, and navigating the internet.
Ability to become a subject matter expert on AAA Insurance Company and other agency carrier partners.
Competent in agency and carrier applications and systems.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing, including effective use of listening skills.
Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict, relate positively to people in stressful situations, and remain calm under pressure.
Ability to adjust style and approach to suit situations that involve change, competing priorities, and time management demands.
Ability to make timely and sound decisions, and covey the necessary confidence in all interactions while providing feedback on outcomes to management.
Capable of mentoring, motivating and guiding others toward both individual and organization goals and to fulfill the shared vision.
Models a high standard of quality and commitment to serving the public to include building strong relationships with members inside and outside the organization while developing trust and credibility with the members.
SALARY:
Hiring Range: $98,634-$113,424 annually
Full Pay Band for the Role: $98,634-$128,214 annually
Actual pay will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.

Equipment used: Computer, phone, various virtual technologies and programs, other office equipment.
Travel: Minimal travel (<25%) may be required.
