ABOUT OUR ROLE 

We are seeking a Bell / Valet Attendant to join our team at Trailborn Surf and Sound in WBNC. As a Bell Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests by assisting with their luggage, providing directions and recommendations, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process. Your attention to detail and ability to anticipate guest needs will be crucial in creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with other departments to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction

ESSENTIAL

  • Greet guests upon arrival and assist with their luggage 
  • Provide directions and recommendations for local attractions and restaurants 
  • Assist with check-in and check-out process 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lobby and bell closet 
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure guest needs are met
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours a day and work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work mornings and evenings, weekdays and weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High level of professionalism, able to follow instructions with follow-up, respect, and integrity.
  • Understand oral and written communications, follow detailed directions, and provide clear instructions/directions.
  • Basic skills such as: attention to detail skills, reasoning skills and multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role 
  • Knowledge of local area and attractions 
  • Ability to speak multiple languages

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

  • Work safely to prevent on-the-job accidents and injuries, wear protective equipment as required.
  • Work safely to ensure company equipment is secure.
  • Complete required training programs. 
  • Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work as needed.
  • Property Information: While on-site parking is limited, we offer an offsite parking option for our team members to ensure convenient access to work.

PHYSICAL 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work mornings and evenings, weekdays and weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to remain upright and able to continuously move on a firm surface for an 8–10-hour shift. 
  • Must be able to assist guests with luggage and set up event rooms.

UNIFORM

A uniform top is provided by the company for this position as well as guidelines to follow for the uniform.

 

 

SCHEDULE

Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality– on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

SALARY

$12 to $14/hour
